Guys I start planning for my Halloween party in July. It's a big deal. Nathan won't let me start decorating until October 1st but the wheels are turning year round and things are being purchased/DIY'd for at least six months. It's my thing. Anyway, every year I pick a theme and this year, I am going with...drumroll please...Haunted Forest! It's creepy, classic, and super cheap (I can just get a lot of the decor from the backyard!) Before the big day, I will be sharing some projects I've designed or created for the party and the process I went about making them. SO let's kick this thing off with the invitation design! The invitation for any event is supposed to set the mood, and that is why I stress about the invitation design for weeks. I have sketched and scrapped more ideas than I care to admit but I finally landed on one that I think has the perfect balance of creepy and classy that I was looking for. Check out the photos below for my take on a sophisticated, spooky, haunted forest forest party invite! For this invitation design, I combined some graphics with an old school serif type and distressed everything using a mask. I did this design in Illustrator and I'll spare you all the tedious details (unless you are an Illustrator person and just want to know-then e-mail me!). I got them printed at my local printer and they did an amazing job, as per usual. Next step was to address the envelopes and put them in the mail! I decided to make tickets for this year's party to give it a more exclusive feel-a little over the top? Never.
Stay tuned for more decor and DIYs for the Young Halloween party and if you have any graphic design needs of your own, feel free to shoot me an e-mail!

I don't consider it as a spooky design. Rather, it's highly sophisticated that I would be encouraged to attend the event and answer the invitation positively! Since you said that you released this invitation last November during halloween season, I bet that a lot of of clients liked you design and they totally went crazy after you released that. This coming August will be my birthday. I am thinking of getting you to work for my invitational stuff!
