A couple months ago I was approached by a fellow creative about participating in a styled shoot. I had never done one of these before and was super busy but when she said the words "romantic", and "french country", I couldn't resist. Read on to see more photos of these simple hand lettered invitations I did-and get a couple cute free printables! The accents are painted with Qor watercolors, scanned in to my computer and printed on this to-die-for handmade paper. I tore the edges myself using a super simple technique. (I won't bore everyone with the details but if you're interested-shoot me a message!) I (very nervously) hand wrote the names, "J+B", and the rsvp in black india ink using a calligraphy pen. This was for a styled shoot so the names are those of the models in the shoot. I would LOVE to do this design for a real wedding though. It's been years since the last time I've seen a wedding invitation made from watercolor painting, and I was really amazed! It's very rare nowadays when people use watercolor for their pieces since new materials have arrived all at one. I am just amazed with how the art was executed. There may be a lot of painting materials that cam through the years, but the ones made from watercolor will always shine on its own! I love this wedding invitation.
